The Edison International Political Action Committee (EIPAC) is a voluntary, employee funded organization that supports candidates for elected office. Since corporations are strictly prohibited from making campaign contributions to candidates for federal office, EIPAC relies on voluntary contributions from employees to support candidates who reflect the interests of our company.
Our ability to build relationships with members of Congress and key government officials is essential. EIPAC allows us to be involved in the political process from the beginning, as candidates are running for office. It also helps provide an opportunity to educate elected officials over time, ensuring that our voices are heard -- loud and clear. Issues such as nuclear spent fuel storage, cybersecurity, business resiliency, and transportation electrification have far-reaching impacts for our customers, employees and shareholders.
